Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is an American immigration policy that allows certain illegal aliens who entered the country before their 16th birthday and before June 2007 to receive a renewable two-year work permit and exemption from deportation.

Maribel, a young American woman discovers that unbeknownst to her she's an undocumented immigrant. She benefits from the 2012 act enacted by president Barack Obama that allows her to get a work permit and exception from deportation. Now she's been given permission to visit Mexico for 2 weeks. She will for the first time in 25 years visit the town of her birth in hopes of finding answers and reconnect with the homeland she never knew.
